Photoshop CS4: A NEW BEAST OR AN OVER-GLORIFIED TWIN?

A question many avid Photoshop users are wondering is whether or not, the recently released, Creative Suite 4 is all its cracked up to be? Are the upgrades and new features worth the upgrade for existing users or is everyone better off sticking with CS3? Firstly, the most notable new and improved feature Photoshop has is its content-aware scaling feature. This makes it possible for you to shrink the size of an image without distorting the figures within the image or having to change the aspect ratio. May come in handy if you have strong juxtaposing figures in your foreground and background. Another, feature is the new three-dimensional tool which converts regular 2D layers in to 3D layers. This new feature not only supports 3D images, but also allows you to cast light and add texture to the image.

Personally, I’m holding on to Cs3 for as long as I can.  The new features, albeit very useful in some cases, seem only to be attracting those who need to edit their merely subpar photos. However, I am well aware that Photoshop is not only limited to photo correction, but those who use it for this purpose, remember that the real art is in the photography itself; Photoshop is only a tool. On the other hand, those who use Photoshop for other purposes, the new features and the upgrade are well worth it.

In my honest oppion I think Photoshop CS4 isn't much different from Photoshop CS3. Adobe could have improved a lot more espeacially for the price.
